I'm in search of a quality mono class-d amp board to be powered from vehicle or AGM battery 12V power. What would you recommend, or can you point me to a vendor, or a diya thread?
Right now my choice is one of the TPA3116/18 boards with PBTL out.
Bluetooth would be nice, but can be added separately.
The amp will be integrated into a portable powered speaker, an 8-ohm Bose 301 to be exact.
Any help would be most appreciated.

The power you could transfer into 8 ohms from a 12V supply is rather limited, and that may or may not be acceptable depending on the application.
BTL helps, but paralleling works well only if all circulating currents between modules are individually controlled (suppressed). Including a 12V to +/-35V SMPS (as seen in many automotive amps) could provide a significantly larger power transfer into 8 ohms without having to resort to parallelling.
I hope you have considered this already.

Tons of TPA311* based available, all are good, all basically "are the same", they follow the datasheet example schematic, no reason not to.I'm in search of a quality mono class-d amp board to be powered from vehicle or AGM battery 12V power. So pick the one with features you need.
They are already BTL.
Slight problem is that your speaker is 8 ohm, so you will lose some power, but hey, you have what you have.
The original Sanwu blue TPA3118 mono boards were/are really good but from what I understand these are now being copied with different IC's. TPA3118 has 32 pins 🙂 When the originals can be found just mod them to 20 dB setting. There are threads here that describe what can be done. The PCB material is not to be soldered several times so make sure to fit Phoenix connectors of the right pitch (yes the connectors cost more than the board). Soldering wires straight to them in famous El Cheapo incompetent way results in premature failure as the PCB tracks peel off easily with just a little mechanical force on the wires.

Still the advice to use 2 of these to enjoy stereo. They are energy efficient anyway.

The XH-M311 baord seems to be an improvement on the (much copied & cloned) Sanwu version and already has the screw connectors already soldered, for much the same price.
I've used 3 so far without issue.
