Hello can anybody help with schematic for this amp ? I have C2016,C2017 blown and not sure what size mylar capacitor is needed. Also L2000 is burnt If anybody can point me in the right direction for schematics and also where to purchase parts that would be awesome.
The caps are 6.8uF at 250V
I'm not 100% sure on the voltage. Measure and confirm that the 250v will fit.
You may have to rewind the inductor if the windings burned. The forum member seankane may have one for sale.
Mouser and Digi-Key are reliable parts distributors. Avoid ebay/amazon for parts.
Check with Rockford tech support for the diagram. The last I checked, it had not been released.

Thanks perry for the quick response your help is a blessing. Il dig into the info you gave me and see what I can gather. If I do have any other questions il keep you posted. Thanks again.
Thanks for the picture goviboo. What would cause the caps to explode like that? could it have been the inductor is just burnt from the caps, any ideas? It looked pretty bad, but after cleaning all the magic dust the PCB is extremely fire retardant. Thanks again y'all for all the info I turned it on yesterday with a PSU and it seems good on the power side. I have removed the caps, inductor, and the legs from the caps that blew up. monday I will be ordering the mylar caps if thats the only part I can find to order.
Did the inductor actually burn or was it simply covered with soot from the caps failing?
Was the cap actually burned or was there simply arcing from the terminals breaking?

inductor looks like it had fire on it the caps only had pins/legs left in the board from the caps so they exploded.
Post a good quality photo of the inductor.
Does the enamel look like it's starting to lift from the copper anywhere?

It needs to be rewound. Is the coating flaking off of the core?
If so, if you try to read the resistance across the bare core material, does the meter read infinite resistance or something lower?

If the core didn't get too hot, you can wrap the core in an insulating tape (mylar, kapton, not electrical tape) and then re-wind the copper.
Check with forum member seankane to see if he has a new or salvaged inductor.

What usually causes something like this to happen is it user error or is there is a short deep within?
I have sent a PM to seankane.

This is a bit like... which came first, the chicken or the egg.
The caps could have failed causing the inductor to overheat or the inductor could have shorted driving too much of the carrier into the caps, causing them to fail.

Lol well thanks for playing both scenarios. I ordered the caps and waiting for seankane to respond. Thanks again perry and goviboo for the help.
