Just completed a Dynaco ST-35 build in a Dynakitsparts SCA chassis w/ their transformers and Dave G's board. Very pleased, but I need to add a power switch would like to find a quality SPST rotary one for the athletics as I complete w/ a faceplate - not a plastic stem, etc... as I see in many places. Any recommendations?
IMO, for AC mains rotary switch, plastic stem is safer than metal stem.
However, if you want metal stem rotary switch, surplussales.com is a good site to look for inexpensive rotary switch, A Oak / Electro Switch DPST 20 amp, 120V - 240VAC rotary switch only $2 each.
Or check out the C&K MA02L1NZQD at Mouser, rated 6A, 125VAC.

for thousands of cycles yes, but for a few hundred and with a fading capacitor between the contacts that poses no problem.
