Hello, I haven't found too much about this amp in the forums so I though I would ask. When turning my amp on, and when I turn it off, there is a little noise coming through the speakers. Almost like a scratchy pot, and I suspect it's capacitors. Otherwise it sounds great. Would this be more or less the power supply caps causing this or just something totally different? Attached is the service manual and I'm currently trying to find these power supply caps online.
Thanks in advance

The mains switch is shown on page 9 of the service manual. The contacts of this have a 4700 pF mains rated capacitor across these to prevent noises at switch on or off. In the first instance you could replace this. If the switch contacts are accessible you could spray some cleaner on these. If otherwise you might have to replace both if the contacts are enclosed and these have been affected by airborne contaminants. Also inspect the mains plug prongs and clean these with spray if necessary. I have a CD player which malfunctioned at turn on and cleaning the switch prongs sorted this out.
Sounds like switch and/or capacitor across have malfunctioned.
I would replace both.
I used to run a mobile disco playing vinyl.
The speakers would pop when I turned mains on/off to each record deck.
A 100nf mains rated cap across switches fixed it.

There's already a spark killer across the switch. The pop noise is normal for this amplifier as there is no power on/off muting circuit.
Look at the schematic. There is no relay to disconnect the speakers... as the voltage supply collapses, the amplifier will make noises.
