Russian tubes - Classification of various brands?

I like russian tubes and if I find it at HamFest I get it

one question arrived to my mind

there is a classify that tell you which brand are better and which are lower quality ?

This are some of the russian brand

can someone make a ranking ?

FOTON and Reflector are nicely made.
The rest are reflected in the cost.

Someone knows how to recognize tubes that are military grade ?

this is what I know

EB = Long Life - 5000 Hours

ER = Long Life - 10000 Hours

K = Shock Resistant

VI = Military Equipment (but I don't know more)

I = ??? I don't Know

IR = High Durable

DR = 10000 - 20000 Hours

What means the OTK stamp ?

I'm sure there are other things to know about russian tubes

Someone has further info to share ?

OTK is a russian acronym for quality control check passed. I have read it is a good sign to see it on a tube.

Yes. And a lot of "SIEMENS" Tubes were made by RFT and bought by Siemens...

OTK stands for Otdyel Tekhnicheskovo Kontrolya, "department of technical control" most of products in the Soviet Union carried this stamp. If an item has this stamp, it meets the minimum quality standards.
From the 1950's quality controllers where inserted in most Soviet industrial companies to test and check production, but not all companies had OTK controllers, and not every item leaving the factory was stamped.

I think that as West Germany was under russian control, RFT is considered (by many people) under the USSR comunity and so part of the "russian tube factory", also if it was in Germany

D (russian Д) - ultra long life (10000h and more)
V (russian B) - vibration proof, high reliability
I (russian И) - for impuls mode (high emission of catode)
K (russian K) - vibration proof
R (russian P) - vibration and radiation (nuclear reliability) proof

so 'EV' (rus EB) is 'long life' + 'vibration proof, high reliability' etc

also stamps:
ОТК - standard quality
ВП - military
ОС - ultra stable parameters

I need a 6n3p-eb and I have a choice of either the blue/yellow box 1979 production Oktyabr plant made or the red box 1984 production REFLECTOR plant. Any opinion on which is the better tube?

The Oktyabr (october) tube plant was actually located in Vinnytsya, Ukraine.

So it is not the phantom plant described in the book.

Book describes multiple phantom factories under same name in Soviet Union. So did the Ukraine (=ussr) factory exist ? Book also describes no further investigation of all these phantom factories took place. That probably means the phantom factories still are listed as factories.
