Guys,

I picked one of these up last week knowing that the right channel had no output. I've just started to clean the amp out to look for damage to fuses, caps, resistors etc. but I was wondering if you could suggest other likely reasons why the right channel may fail?

Thanks

If fuses blow, check output transistors and drivers are not shorted or open circuit. You can use a diode test on a multi meter.

Do a check on resistances of all resistors. Don't know about the 719 but the 517 has fusibles that age and go open circuit.

One way to repair amplifiers is to use the working side as ref point to carry out basic check if no schematic is to hand.. try not to just fit replacement o/ps devices then power up as it will need re-biasing so not to over heat the new parts.
