Hi people,
so my favorite headphones are broken. they were good open and light. Unfortunately they are not produced anymore.
I found them when i was looking for an alternative to coss porta pro but now i am searching again.
Please if you have some lightweight headphones recommendation for a reasonable price tell me.
ps: senheiser px 200 II are not an alternative. they are closed and hard to repair.

Interestingly, i have all three you mentioned in the post...
Koss are probably the best sounding since they actually have bass, sennheisers not so much.
You can't go wrong with koss porta pro jr.

They are essentially identical, except some adjustable pin.
Same driver though. I had few versions since i used them a lot and wear them out.
Still have at least two somewhere.

Not sure how it can work in open back headphones with such a small driver.@adason how are the jr version of koss better than the classics?
i have tuned the open px 100 to do more bass. by placing a bit hemp fibre under the membranes.
Are you sure you do not want to step up to some real headphones? I can recommend few.
Drop currently has both the Koss KPH30i ($25, open back) and the Koss Porta Pro X ($39, closed back) available. Do you know those models, @adason?

I have the porta pros and got my son onto them as well. For $39 they are the best kept secret in headphones. Superb for the money.
Sony sometimes has surprisingly good cans for the price. I used to have MDR-10r? (on-the-ear, not the big over-the-ear ones, forgot the exact model name). Very nice and smooth with complex violins. Good bass, not sibilant. The only downside was with the pressurised bass, which made them less portable than I would have liked. Going to a Sony kiosk with an mp3 player really paid off.
