Short in speaker output?

I have a EV Q1212 amp...the same as the dynacord SL2400 maybe.
Anyway as soon as I turn it on channel A limit light comes on and it is in protect with the fans going flat out.
I've measured the resistance on the speakon outputs and found 1+ and 1- are about .2 ohms like a direct short, is this normal?
Cheers

It might be deliberate part of the protection action - if the amp is used in bridge mode and fails, shorting its output will permit 1/2 power operation from the other amp. This (in a live performance) is preferable to going open-circuit.

Checking how the protection relay is wired would confirm this.

Thankyou so much that confirms my theory.
While the amp is off the outputs are grounded and when you turn it on the relays un-ground them.
It was a faulty relay that had me confused as one channel was grounded and the other channel was open.
It's near impossible to find a service manual for my amp :(

Thankyou so much for you help!!
