It's reputation is overshadowed by SWH-650, Positive Feedback's Brad Morrical's reference piece. But price/performance wise I'd say this model's probably higher value.
The sound from it is purely organic, making even a humble match to my shure m97xe a heavenly affair.
A word has it that a member on audiogon (the full ad for this unit can be found there also) replaced the coupling cap to a mundorf sio that took the amp to a stratospheric level and made it sound considerably better than a much more expensive brand.
*I happen to have mundorf silver/oil 2.2uf in hand. i could offer this mod for you for cheaper than the price of the caps alone* ($120)
price is $1700 negotiable.
