SketchUp 2017

Guys,
I tried freecad..... Like for 2 months...

I was able to make the panels of a cabinet
But can't join them to the actual layout

I always got...
"Too little constraints ....or too many constraints"
Suuuuuu.....,.k

Soo ...long story short
I found SketchUp 2017 on my aux external HD
That I have forgotten

Ok ... Long story short (again....gezzz)

SketchUp clicked for me!! For cab layouts

So... Google was the maker of SketchUp as free app...but Trimble bought it...when ? Can't tell , so... They removed the free version of it ...

And .....,.......,..,..
I found a 2017 copy of it on and external HD

I tried and it works on win10

Is the last freeeee version of SketchUp
V17
If you want it , let me know

Trimble removed it from the website
So if anyone want it.... It works
Today V17

Trimble don't have perpetual licenses....
They want pay as you go!!!

I hate the
"You don't own anything...but you will be happy"
Model!!!!

I have been using SketchUp 2017 since it was originally released. I tried the online version that replaced it but found it not as user friendly. At some point SketchUp killed the links to the online warehouse, but for what I do (woodworking) it still works fine.

See you Monday at 7am. Please dress appropriately, last time the bikini bottoms were hideous and I got ptsd
🤣

BAD NEWS!

i guess the "trial" period ended for Sketchup 17
and it wont let me save in DWG , DXF and STEP anymore
options just gone !

now when you try to export in 3D , there is COLLADA (.dae) and google Maps (.kdz)

and save as SKP native format of course

but no DXF,DWG,STEP CAD files, so no CNC posibility

now i am looking in to the Fusion360
it is completely diferent but i guess i will need to grasp the basic in order to draw my cab sketches
to be ready for CAD/CAM CNC

Gezzz Booger,
look Fusion360 is also locked for DWG and DXF
only hope is *.stl
but not all CNC shops take *.stl or they charge more for the conversion
i guess i need to get back at freecad
but it is a nightmare!! not as intuitive as sketchup

anybody that can open DWG or DXF
i can send one test file and see if it opens correctly
