Sonido Field Coil speakers

Hi Sonido,
Noted those Sonido's as there are not many field coil manufacturers but these are not compatible with K-tubes.
You definately need compression drivers for the correct combination with K-tubes.
Now your manufacturing options become even smaller.

Besides that the efficiency of the Sonido's are "ok" but there is certainly room for improvement. The current tweeter and mid in my system yield 110+ dB. The woofer 99 dB. The Sonido's seem to yield between 88 and 95 dB.

Interesting products but not for this application.

Hi Istvan,

Compression drivers for mid & high.
As i made a 2" for the mid and 1" for the high you need seperate drivers.
If you scroll back in this thread you'll note i triamp my speakersystem with low-power and even flea-power tube amps.
For instance the tweeteramp is less then 1 Watt; more then enough with these efficiencies. It opens up totally different tubes; i can avoid the common tubes. Currently i'm investigating the TC03/5 and the

Hi Istvan,
I know ! That's why i was surprised that somebody promoted full ranges in this multiway-topic.
For this application (use of K-tubes) you need specific drivers not cone-fullrangers.

My bas-amp is based on the Eimac 35TG transmitting triode. It will push out around 8 Watt (working on 800+ VDC). I don't need that power, too much, but it gives me enough headroom.

Same fot the midrange amp: 2,6 Watt is insane on 114 dB units.
Just headroom.....

Very happy with these. I want more.

Eye candy…
