This is great thank you so much, this is exactly what I was hoping I would find, I think you just saved this old gals life, ill be posting more as I start opening it up, I needed something like this tho, thanks alot.
Have you ever rebuilt something like this? I have not lol

This is an unusual amp in that it contains only NPN devices. A working simulation from ages ago 🙂
Edit... only NPN's Doh. Thinking of the TA-1010

Spot the deliberate mistake 😀 I was thinking of the TA-1010 which is the all NPN one..
Sweet i need all this bc i gotta fix it, i dont think it works, i havent plugged it in even yet
Prolly today
, so, what is an npn device and why is only haveing them unusual?

We posted together.

It was a different amp that uses all NPN's. This one:
Normally PNP along with NPN devices are used in order to generate a push pull output stage.so, what is an npn device and why is only haveing them unusual?

You really have alot of great info man, this is great, I looked at the amp today, mind you I've never used it.
So when I got it, 20 years ago it never worked, but since it kinda went with my receiver I always told myself I would keep it(I wish it was the wood model one) anyway, I haven't looked at it since, I never touched it previously bc I didn't have the knowledge as a kid, I opened this up and I found a **** ton of dust, like an 1/8in thick, I vacuumed it out and the top board u can see where spots have been like desoldered like, with? So I looked around a lil and gave up, I had other things goin on, but like can things in this amp resolver itself? Or was this some idiot,
Personally I think idiot..... either way, I'll post progress on it lol, I have it, and always wanted to fix it, here we are years later finally.
Mind you, I didn't have much time today.so still a bit dirty, sorry need smaller tips...

Hi - using a soft brush can help you get the big stuff cleared up. The two spots without solder look to be switch mounts. Not a problem.
Sup yea I used a brush on a vacuum but wasn't small enough I kinda wanted to show it lol it was a rush job cleaning lol I seen the solder and was like.....dam...
Also thank you for checking out the board, I'm happy that it actually looks original and in all honesty this is in my wheelhouse. I can solder/desolser anything I've made my own circuit boards in the past using etching nothing crazy like a pong game and ****. But that's where it started. After that I started taking things apart finding blown stuff and replacing it, that stopped when radio shack went by by and I had a hard time sourcing parts, now the internet is up n running good and I can find anything easily again. If I want something I can get it done like this amp, I want it. So ima fix it. I've waited 20 years I can wait another year if thats what it takes, and with you guys it will make my journey way more fun! Lol
