hi,

I got this soundstream TN4.900D for repair. 474 polyster capacitors blown which are just before the speaker terminals. this is using 2092 chip. i removed the blown 4 capacitors and when i on the amplifier it came on good. and had around 500khz on gate of mosfets.

I want to know what cause it. if i just replace it would it blow again. what precautions i have to take and which place to concertrate on. Attaching the pictures of board. Thank you,

Yours Sincerely
Imran Mohammad

Could You verify that speakers were connected, or disconnected.
Maybe speakers lose connection and amplifier was without load. D class amp wants load and if there is no load capacitor will be that load and blow.
This description is valid if input signal is present and amplifier tend to give power.
