A friend of me is owner of the very good sounded tonarm (model "Magician") from the no longer exist manufacturer Manticore Audio (Shortmead Street, Biggleswade).
Here the URL:
http://www.vinylengine.com/library/manticore/magician.shtml
The developer (and maybe the company owner) of this arm (and Input Design record players) was Mr. Doug Hewett.
Which company has overtaken this manufacturer?
The follow thread don't provide helpful hints:

Thanks for your advices.

Hi
I'm pretty sure the Manticore company folded in the late 1990s with no takeover or successor. This was a bad time for small UK turntable manufacturers who'd flourished in the 1980s - the original Systemdek company ceased trading about then.
The arms were developments of the Logic Datum 2, I believe, and there was also some Syrinx design work applied to the early Logic arms. I suppose the closest modern arms in general concept would be the Audio Note Arm 1 (the latest, Austrian-made type, not the modified Rega) or perhaps Origin Live models like the Onyx or Silver (again, as opposed to their earlier hot-rodded Regas).
The Rega RB250/300 made life very hard for rival budget/mid-price arm manufacturers, though there are now more alternatives in this area of the market than a few years back.
HTH
