Unfortunately I need the 'A' version that are 8 ohm for the SB-8000. My EAS-10TH800A housings are absolutely mint on the outside, like brand new but sadly the leafs are burnt out inside.
I wonder if the leaf part inside is the same as the ones in my 800A's, I could then possibly swap them into my housings, I suspect it's a bit of a long shot unless Technics just happened to use the same design/size.
They are almost the same. Only th1000 frames are thinner because leaf is on the pcb plate and on the center of leaf there is aluminum foil and not capton only as on th800
Sorry for my slow reply, do you have any pictures of the actual leaf circuits, I'm interested to know if I can make them fit my 800 enclosures.
This is a link to a picture of my 800....sadly burned in an accident swapping speaker cables over between amplifiers...by my daughter! Don't ask!

I measured them, they have the same size but only thinner than 800.
Very pity for your ribbons. However I would suggest you to replace 6 ohm if the same as yours not available. I doubt you will hear the difference. 1000 model are better and more expensive than 800, it would be unwise to take the ribbons from them.
