Hi Everyone,
The Sl 1610 mk2 is giving me a
weird problem. As the device starts, with the platter revolving, there is a slight scraping sound, which deforms the sound of the record being played. This record player sports a dual spring suspension, which protects against any vibration, and also to keep the device level. Here is where the fun starts. The adjustment is possible by turning the legs of the device, until the right balance is achieved. I did turn those legs considerably, but it doesn`t seem to make any difference. The only way I can stop the scraping sound is when, from underneath, I push the suspension gently upwards-by hand, which confirms there is a balancing problem. If you are familiar with this particular model,
and can suggest a remedy, please do drop me a line. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Peace,
