Hi Group:
Does anyone know where to get replacement end bells
for Dynaco MK III transformers?
I'm restoring a set and the endbells are rather pitted up and rusty. I may be able to primer them enough to make them useable, but I'd rather replace them.
Any Info apprecaited

Ned Carlson at www.triodeelectronics.com may be able to help. he sells dyno clone transformers. worth a punt.
From what these guys tell me, they are the only people left in the states that make these...

I don't how the feel about selling 2 or 4. But if you mail them a box with prepaid return postage... that is usually a good start to get some "samples".

Well, after wire brushing and sand blasting the ones I've got,
I think their going to look fine. I'm waiting for the primer to dry
and then I'll start with the lacquer. I also have some high temp
engine pain I'm considering.
Thanks for the info!

Ron,
Rustoleum makes a spray paint called "Appliance Laquer" or something like that. I've used it one trafos, both PTX and OPT as well as chokes. It does a wonderful job, goes on smooth without effort and dries so it can be handled in about 10 or 15 minutes. It withstands a lot of heat.
(No association with Rustoleum, I just like that product.)
