A pair of "NOS" 6BQ6GA that were not NOS and weren't in good condition being demoted to a worse condition.
I found a used 6AX4 TV damper tube with a hole in its plate, so I applied some power that was a wee bit in excess of it's ratings. This created a blue ray of death that shined through the hole.
About 15 years ago Antique Electronics Supply sold these "6L6GCs" with the caption "we couldn't blow these up no matter how hard we tried." I got a pair and tested that statement. The tubes are still alive 15 years later and mostly just used for experiments that could end badly. They still sound reasonably decent in an SSE board too.
I was digging through a lot of about 100,000 used vacuum tubes when I found a tube that had a spare heater packed inside the glass just in case the original needed replacement. That's really one in a million.........so what are the odds of finding TWO of them in the same batch of tubes. All of these tubes were pulled from military spare equipment that was decommissioned in the 1950's and 60's. There were about 50 boxes like these and a few 50 gallon drums full of random unsorted tubes. It took me about 5 years to go through all of them. I found these, and about 40 of the Raytheon variety. Nothing newer than about 1960.

Powerline to Tubelab after testing the "Big One". 😳
She was also briefly mentioned in Douglas Adam's infamous Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy,
although under her maiden name "Eccentrica Gallumbits, The Triple-Breasted ***** of Eroticon Six".
But sometimes three is not enough, so here's a male with four of ... whatever ...
