Hi Everyone,
While I'm comfortable more-or-less conceptualizing and wiring speakers together I'm not so with tubes. I like them, but have really only heard the ARC and Conrad Johnson equipment. I like the new ARC, and old Conrad Johnson sounds.
I'd like to find a turn-key kit, preferably with monoblocks and was considering something from tubes4hifi, but I have no idea what they sound like. I am currently using small Parasound stereo amps (A23).
The speakers are custom built 4 ohm (realistically) with impedance compensation to keep the peak under 12 ohms.
I'd love some other turn-key kits you might recommend. The budget is under $2k if at all possible. In particular image depth are key points for me in addition to frequency extension. 60 watts or more I think.
Thank you for any ideas!
Erik

Curiously, I could only locate two turnkey kits from reputable vendors. Who knew haha. One of them seems to fit your budget, too!
The Venerable Dynaco
MARK III KIT (240 VAC)
The more "hi-end" AudioNote
ANK Audiokits - EL34/6CA7 MonoBlocks
As for "image depth" other people can help, I have no idea.

Thanks! I had forgotten the Audio Note the same way I forgot the prices for a McLaren.... too much money. 🙂
I've also seen PC is carrying some kits, look really nice but don't fit my criteria. Given the hundreds of speaker kits out there I was sure I'd find at least a couple of dozen turnkey tube kits.
Thanks again!
Erik
If hi-fi amp is what you want, you already have it. High fidelity (hi-fi) means high degree of fidelity between input and output and most tube amps are not synonymous with that term. There are some tube amps that are high in fidelity level but if you listen to them level matched and double blind, you will realize that they sound like your Parasound A23.I'd like to find a turn-key kit, preferably with monoblocks and was considering something from tubes4hifi, but I have no idea what they sound like. If you want tube amp for the looks (glowing lights, retro theme... etc.), then go for the one with the right amount of it.
You may safely get a vta-70 ( or vta-120) from tubes4hifi. It natural sound aka hifi is wanted you will get it.Hi Everyone,

Withing your budget you can get a ready-build unit thus a trouble-free
entry to the world of tubes.
