A friend of mine got an offer for this old HiFonics EQ (?).

Here's a pic:

Google doesn't bring up anything, looked in the Series VI and VII manuals, also nothing.
The manual for the Series V EQ/X-Overs doesn't bring up anything, too.

The case reminds me off Series VI, but the color looks more like Series VII.

So, does anybody know anything about it?

Infos, a spec-sheet or the manual are VERY welcome!

Regards Julian

Series VII IO which was a low pass bass crossover with eq boost. Back then Hifonics amps had no crossovers built in or bass boost, so this was their answer to the need as I recall.
try IO not TO in your search🙂...hope this helps some...C

Crossovers were built-in for some of their multi-channel amps then. Basically an external variable crossover in the amp chassis, and required patch cords to use. No sort of on-board EQ. I may have a VII manual around here, let me look.

Great!
I even misread the name on it!🙄

Searching for "HiFonics Io" brings up more results!
I found what I was looking for!
(My friend was told it's a subsonic filter, seems to be true, acting at 35Hz.)

Thanks a lot!

/edit: BTW, where can I edit the thread's title?
