Hi guys.
I bought this pot ALPS RK27112MC:
Now I'm looking for a knob in aluminum black compatible with it. You will notice there is a slot in the shaft so the following knob for instance won't do:
Unfortunately all knobs I find seem to be of two kind: with this sort of half circle hole like the above, or even worse with a side hole like this bellow:
I like the basic shape of these knobs but the first one won't fit and the second one has the lateral hole which is too visible to my dislike, so is there any other options?
Thanks!

The side hole and grub screw is compatible with the solid shaft of the vol pot.
The screwdriver slot will not interfere with the grub screw holding power.
How about making a black plastic plug to cover the screw hole?
Or a white plug to be used as a rotation indicator?

Thanks Andrew. Your suggestions are very interesting! It is not very visible in the picture but the knob has already a white mark on top that sadly is on the opposite side of the side hole.
So, if I can't find anything better suitable I might follow your idea of the black plastic plug. The question is, where will I get one...
EDIT: here are two pictures of the second knob viewed from above and bellow:

Another option could be an adapter from D-shaft to split shaft, if there is such a thing, that is...
Thanks for the suggestion but not exactly the style I'm looking for this project. Anyway, what kind of shaft are these for?
Basically knobs should be in three "basic" versions, either standard hole with grub screw, for a slotted shaft or for a knurled shaft. The first one is the standard I guess. You also have to consider that if the shaft is smooth, you need the grub screw to keep the knob in place.

Hi Nisbeth. Yes, from what I saw there are three basic kind of shafts, or at least they are the most common: D-shaft, knurled or slotted. Then we have combinations of these of possibly different shapes altogether.
This for instance is a combination of knurled with slot:
The D-shaft is the first one I showed and it requires no lateral hole because the knob only has one position and so it doesn't slip. I guess the same applies for the knurled kind. The slot shaft would not require a side hole if the knob would have a 'male slot' so to speak or else there was some kind of shaft adapter to convert from slot to knurled or D-shaft. Unfortunately I didn't find anything suitable. Therefore the easiest and probably cheapest solution and one that would also fits a D-shaft is the common side hole.

Look on eBay, People there are selling the motorized pots - maybe someone has some good knobs for them.
Some out of the box thinking. I sometimes/ often look in kitchen hardware stores for nice knobs and handles.
You could always drill out the flat on the first one and mould some epoxy putty to form a round hole.

I recommend this knob which I use myself. 100% solid aluminum, very heavy, quality feel, everything you can dream of. It also fits your shaft type perfectly.

Before you drill out that flat, it might be a good idea to pack the space around the flatted knob hole with epoxy and let it cure so that when you cut through the plastic where the hole is flatted, there is some material to support it.
