wanted: photovoltaic isolator mosfet gate driver
looking to replace mechanical relays (of speaker protector) with mosfets.
but isolators are either high cost, not in stock or obsolete.
prefer to use dual devices (3 needed) otherwise will need 6 singles.

hi, unfortunately that device is not one that has been mentioned in the SSR threads i have read.
typically used were pvi5013, apv1121, vom1271.
i might have to look at a discrete driver instead.

A possible alternative solution. Use a 9v battery with a traditional opto and a 1 Meg pull down resistor. You would need 6, but the batteries would last a loooooong time. 9 uA amps with switch on, none otherwise. If you need speed, use another opto instead of the resistor.
How many amps load?
Relay volts?
Use a PCB mounted SSR, or search for switching transistors with optocoupler, they are used in LED drivers. 4 pin TO-220 package.

I'll have a second look what parts we use for the MOSFETs in the boosters, the ACPL-P343 is used to drive the AC bridge IGBTs.
