They state 3-way on the site, and describe the midrange as a midrange. That doesn't always mean that either are true of course 😉 but in this case, almost certain to be.
Because sometime the speakers company decalre a 3 way system ,
when actualy its a 2.5 way , where the "MID" driver , is also for bass .

It is most definitely a three-way, emulating (but greatly improving upon) the classic Linton three-way of the seventies.
Bass frequencies are handled by a 20cm unit that's the same size as the bass driver inside the old Linton XP2s but this time utilises woven Kevlar instead of paper in the construction of its cone. A 12.5cm Kevlar midrange driver sits just above in its own enclosure, and slightly off-set to the inside edge is a 25mm fabric dome tweeter.

I may not have made myself clear in post #4. The midrange driver in the Linton Heritage operates between 630Hz and 2.4kHz and occupies its own enclosure. I did not intend to insult you by defining bass and mid frequencies, but simply to emphasise that the MID driver in the speaker only covers the midrange.
If you like the Linton Heritages, you'll like the LEAK 130 amp and CDT compact disc transport that have just been been released to complete a cool system with a retro look! 😎

At least I could afford the new LEAKs at a combined price of around £1200 to £1500.
Goodness only knows what a pair of re-created LEAK TL/12 PLUS would cost! 🙁

Where to start? 😀
I used to own the two way version, the Shelton:
Flippin' excellent 3/4" plastic tweeter. One of the best top ends I have ever heard.

I am in need to get that cd. What it's called.
edit: OP, don't insult Wharfedale ever again. 😉

M'learned friend Lojzek knows full-well that the attractive hussy here is Ms. Diana Krall:
"The Look of Love." Performing a sensual mixture of classic ballads and Bossa Nova rhythms. Her jazz quartet performs with the London Symphony orchestra. Actually a staple at HiFi shows because it sounds good on even the worst setups. 😀
WhiteRhino, you won't go far wrong with that LINTON Heritage – WHARFEDALE.
Classic three way. So good it almost sounds dull. That's because it has very little distortion. 😎

The mid comes in above 630Hz - above the range of the bass guitar (except for the 'slappy' sounds that is!)
Not true.
I've explained (post #9) that the midrange (mid) driver operates from 630Hz to its upper cut-off frequency. What is not true? 😕Not true.
