What to do with old car sub?

Hi,
I have an old Eclipse 12" sub that I used in my car back in my highschool days. It's been collecting dust for quite awhile now, and I thought maybe I could build a HT sub out of it. Is this feasible? If so, which plate amp should I get?

I used a 50w x 2 Rockford Fosgate amp in my car (before they sold out to best buy). So how bout a 100w amp from PE? Any info and ideas appreciated. Thanks

It probably won't work all that well for home theater or indoor music. Auto subs are generally built for about 50hz as the lowest that they really worry about. For home theater, to do it right, you want a sub with an fs of about 20hz, and plenty of xmax. I've got a pair of PE's Dayton Quatro 15 drivers in 5.5 cube 18.5hz ported boxes, and they have the potential to really hack off the neighbors.

Of course, initially, I was going to suggest plugging it into the wall...

depends what your after, i use a car sub in my computer sound system and it sounds a lot better than any of the other sub's i have tried.. It's also LOUD.. just remember they usually need more power to make them sing indoors.. it's in a ported box btw.. didnt have much luck with car subs in sealed boxes indoors.. but ported do work.. just dont expect them to beat a GOOD home theater sub..
