Which amplifier you recomand me to take(NAD or PIONEER)?

Hi,

I'm thinking about buying one of these 2 models:
NAD 302 or PIONEER A229 (it will be one of them).

I dont find too much info about those tow...i sent an eMail to someone in the forum that wrote that he have the manual of the NAD 302 and it will probably help me a lot to decided about it...

But...till then - i have something to clarify:
Is someone here impressed from the NAD C302 abilities\skills to push almost any speakers? (about the A229: i know that it is a high power and strong amplifier.

I have 2 options for my Amplifier buying:
1) NAD 302.
2) PIONEER A229.

I took them in purpose after doing some kinda research...

If anyone of you knows\heard of the PIONEER A229 and the NAD 302...
which is preforme better? which one will handle better to "puch" a speakers of 87DB and 60ohm?

I know that the PIONEER A229 is a model that still was really "made in japan" ... that says something (good) about the qualety - right?

I know that not allways the WATT and the dbw determine the power of the system , so even those that the pioneer is holding a "stronger set-up" i still not sure if it will be handel better or will exhaust the ponteciel with a speakers that they hard to push.

Dont know how much 'W' and dBW the NAD...
But the Pioneer A229 is 90w , 17dBW.

The price is almost the same , both sound are great!

Can you please help me to chose from 2 of them?

Its for home useing (will be conected to the TV , i will use it for listenin to music by my iphone...mostly to TV - but not hoem cinema).

I will appreciate so mach if you will guide me on which of them should i buy.

The speakers are: Jamo E600.

You say price is the same and both sound great, that problem is resolved. Now look which one gives you the facilities you want and which one is more beautiful to your eye, choose that one.

For what it's worth, nearly every NAD I've heard over the years in various setups sounded muffled. I know many others like them but I still can't figure out why 🙂

mmm...not sound me good at all...although it weird...after all its a well known and very good AMP company...

Shaby, there is not a person in the world that can tell you what something would sound like to you. I would suggest listen to both, decide which you like best because zobsky or anyone else does not have to listen to it.

If you favour what the Pioneer sounds like then this must be your choice, it has absolutely nothing to do with dBs or watts, it is what you would choose for yourself.

Many make out that there exists this amplifier that is the trend that they must follow to be part of the audiophile scene. It is a case of what you prefer not what anyone else prefer.
