First of all the 6922 works with a filament voltage of 6.3 V, both 12AX7 and 12AU7 run at 12.6 V. They can also run at the half of their voltage, provided that you short pins 4 an 5. Anyway, for most applications 6922 is conceived for different applications than previous ones.
Neither of the tubes you have on hand are suitable replacement devices, they run on different heater voltage as well as configuration, and have much different characteristics that would require modifications to use in place of the 6922, if they would even work correctly for the application.
The 6DJ8 or Russian 6H23P would be suitable replacement tubes for the 6922.

6DJ8/ECC88, E88CC, 7308, and the Russian 6N23P-EV. If sufficient filament current is available the 6N1P is also an option.
As others have pointed out neither of the types you listed as on hand are suitable.

There are plenty of options:
6N1P 6N2P 6922 6H30 6DJ8 7DJ8 7308 ECC88 E88CC E288CC 6N1 6H23 Siemens 8223 GA7 CV5358
6N1P have the warmest tone,
6N2P more dinamic than 6N1P,
6922 have the best dynamics,
6DJ8 have the most air and micro-detail with a touch less bass.
7DJ8 again, a powerful tool for voicing your amplifier to your particular astes.

6N1P and 6N2P are different enough tubes that they may not be "drop in" replacement, especially the 6N2P. If replacing a gain stage and not expected to run at the same current the 6N1P can often be an acceptable substitute.
Also, I'm not sure if I should comment on your highly subjective observations 😉

Decware rec all these tubes in its amp:
This amp uses a pair of 6N1P's driving a pair of EL34 output tubes. You can use 6N2P's, 6DJ8's, 7DJ8's or 6922's in place of the 6N1P's.

Just because the Decware was designed to allow the use of tubes with significantly differing characteristics does not mean this is valid in any other design.
The 6N1P only has about 1/2 the transconductance of the 6922/ECC88/6DJ8.
The 6N1P has about 2X the plate resistance of the 6922/ECC88/6DJ8.
As previously stated, your mileage may vary when using a 6N1P in a circuit that was designed for a 6922/ECC88/6DJ8.
Please put a schematic in this thread of the amp you are building that calls out a 6922.

12AU7 is much closer to 6922 but not the same. however a 12AU7 will likely work ok in a 6922 circuit. their operating currents are similar. 12ax7 is high gain low current 1/15 of 6922. 12AU7 will need to be configured for 6.3v heaters
12AU7 is very different from 6922. Only about 20% of the transconductance, for a start. Maybe half the mu. Valves are very tolerant of abuse and misuse by unthinking users, so a 12AU7 thrown into a 6922 circuit will amplify but it won't behave like a 6922.
12au7 will not work in a 6922 circuit as the filament is different.12AU7 is much closer to 6922 but not the same. however a 12AU7 will likely work ok in a 6922 circuit. their operating currents are similar. 12ax7 is high gain low current 1/15 of 6922. 12AU7 will need to be configured for 6.3v heaters
The Russian 6Н6П resemble more or less (also same connections) but much more heater current.

I did not like the sound of the 12AU7 used in the same config as much as 6922.
more heater noise came through and sound not as clear.
6922 works well with just 42 volts on the plate ( amp rail B+ ). I have mine at 8 ma 140 volts as per loadline.
6922 currently drives the tone stack and power amp in my sx -780.
6922 also forms an *excellent* superTriode with a 400 volt transistor.
