Yamaha M60 modifications?

Hi there. I've a Yamaha M40 myself, original owner since mid 80's. Just updated all the mainboard caps to 'audio' quality <nichicon FG, KG, Elna Silmic II and Cerafine>, replaced internal connector wire from the rca in jacks to the speaker selector panel out to the channel gain pots then to the mainboard--from the mainboard to the new speaker jacks. New wire is now PTFE - silver plated copper, and terminated/connected at the speaker posts with gold plated spade lugs. Speaker posts updated to gold plated single banana plugs, mounted for now on an adequate perf board and screwed to the amp's backside. RCA input jacks also updated to heavier duty quality. It made a nice little project and well worth it all. Give it a shot! Oh yes....I also hooked up a pc case fan and suspended it between the big heatsinks to help move a bit more air around inside since the lil monster always ran on the warm side in class A mode.

Just a side note, the 2 trim pots to adjust idle current may need to be replaced. As my amps idle was a bit hard to dial in, the pots maybe were tarnished. Tried my hand at cleaning them, then just replaced them with single turn Bournes pots. Quick easy desolder/resolder and made for smooth adjustment.
