Hello all, I am unsure if this is in the right forum, but I tried for the best one. A couple weeks ago me and my wife ran across a 1969 Zenith solid state B935 console radio/record player at the local salvation army for a steal, so I had to get it. We got it home and the record player wouldn't work but everything else worked wonderfully. I removed the back of the console to check out if maybe it was a belt or something that had come off or broke etc. I really didn't see anything wrong and noticed that there isn't any belts on it at all, it seems to be gear driven. The motor sounds like it is working, it gets warm and makes a noise, but the gears just don't seem to be moving.
I have no clue how long this thing was sitting and if the gears seized up maybe? If there is something I am maybe not seeing? Any ideas or help would be appreciated, I would really like to fix it myself rather than take it to the closest place to fix them (which is like an hour away). Thanks!
