Just received word that Siegfried Linkwitz passed away peacefully.
A gifted speaker designer who generously gave from his time and knowledge to many of us. His presentations and demos at the many Burning Amp festivals he attended were always packed. He will be sadly missed.
Thoughts go out to his wife Eike and his children.

Absolute legend, his work on active speakers is one that got me deeper into the whole design experience.
God bless.
God bless.
One of the great ones. He will be missed. I will miss him, though I haven't spoken to him for many years.
I do hope I can keep my mind active to the end as he did. Here is an interview from last April which is possibly one of his last. A Visit With Loudspeaker Designer/Innovator Siegfried Linkwitz | Analog Planet

A giant in the science of loudspeakers whose contributions were no doubt used by most of us at some point.
