Anyone Tried the PRV mid horns?

Hey guys,
PE has a new compression driver/horn combo for $35, and I was thinking about trying it out but was curious if anyone else had used it already and had some impressions to share:
PRV Audio WGP275PH 1" Horn Loaded Midrange 8 Ohm
I know there are a lot of other PRV drivers that have been used with great success on here, but was curious about this one and their other horn-loaded mid just because I'd like to try something similar.
For reference, here is the other mid I mentioned:

Yes, they are too small for that range. If you are using them low, expect the dispersion to be a lot wider, they are narrow only further up. The upper usable frequency is nothing like they wrote in the datasheets, expect them to be clean up to ~4k, for PA maybe 5k, the round horn will be easier to work with. Both are available at the PRV Audio page for 35$ each, which is a very good price. Don't expect high end though. They are produced by Selenium btw. and based on the D200 driver.

I haven't tested it out yet. Actually, I'm more interested in the WGP275Ph.

That's definitely the better one of the two.

But for hifi use, you maywant to check out the mid-horn used in the vintage Pioneer CS-R700.

I've searched eBay, you can get them every now and then, even for a reasonable price. But you have to keep in mind, they are almost 50 years old and that shows, they ring, they got a non-standard thread (you can't use a different driver with the horn), they got a very low power capability (<10W) and no diaphragm replacements available. If you are unlucky, it might happen you can't get another one for a year and the price might be a lot steeper if there is a new Pioneer-vintage-hype.
