Been researching on parts to built my first horn speaker.
Due to my location, it would be ideal to use parts that I can purchase locally.
Looking into building a 2 way if possible with the above horns crossing over at 600-700hz. Size matters too as it’s for home use. Sensitivity of compression driver need not be high somewhere around 95-97 db or so would do.

RCF ND850/ND950, Radian 745Neo/951, JBL 2452, etc.
Basically any high quality 3" to 4" diaphragm driver will do. The 3" drivers will usually have cleaner treble than 4" diaphragms unless they're Beryllium.
I use the Radian 745Neo with the stock aluminium diaphragm. Great driver.
P. Audio might be a good option in your area. Look for a diaphragm mated with a plastic surround.

The HF94 can be used with 1" or 1.4" exit drivers.
If you want to use a 2" exit driver, you'll need a horn with a 2" throat.

Thank you Chris, silly question if the throat is 2 inches for the compression driver I would assume that the exit where the horn flare starts has to be 2 inches or more, is this correct ?

You may want to read the user reviews on the RCF TT-series by PA folks.
In short: The TT-series have long been among the very best 2-way systems on the market. There are a few Meyer and D&B Audiotechnik products that come close, but those are (even) more expensive.
The crossover frequency of the products containing the HF94 ranges between 700-900Hz.
In my opinion, the APT is anything but better than the HF94.

The waveguide/horn in the Audioexpress article is NOT in the APT 150S (as mentioned in the article). That's actually a screw-on only design.
Instead it's the SST1, and it's very similar to the HF94 but its off-axis response is a bit more "constant" (..more "straight-sided" waveguide). Not made of Aluminum though, but the SST1 is also considerably less expensive.
Note: you can stress a driver below most of the gain/loading freq. with any horn/waveguide, and it can be less stressful if you do that with the right 1.4" exit driver (as opposed to even a good 1" exit driver). Also 1.4" exit drivers typically have more "gain" lower in freq. regardless of the horn it's used with. This can allow a lower freq. advantage with the HF94, but the horn itself really doesn't adequately support lower freq.s - it's just to small.

I'm using an 18Sound ND1460 on that horn. Excellent performance.

I'd rather choose that one : the 1460A or a Faital 1440 in second close podium position. (Perhaps the first with tube amp and the second with SS.
and of course as years runned : maybe the new B&C 1.4 constant directivity horn (expensive though)

Any experience this horn and CD650 driver? I am considering to use this combo in 12" two way hifi speaker.
