Sorry to bother, but I can't seem to find the plans for the first box (the one with 2 PRs) and was interested, do you have the plans still?
Thanks
Thanks
Hi, I was looking to build the TL in this thread for the Purifi ..
.. however, I was thinking to use it for a 3-way with dome mid and tweeter and on its side (for studio use).
If I were to widen the baffle, and therefore the internal width, would it be a case of keeping the same tapered volume the same to make it work, adjusting other paramaters? Or is it more complex than that (in which case I can still keep the internal width exactly the same)?
Thanks in advance for anyone's advice !

A bit more research suggests larger volume may change the driver's loading and F3 .. which then may limit it's max spl I guess .. ?
I may have to get hold of a TL emulator ..

Sorry I missed this question. My notifications were not working for some reason. No plans - just buy the Denovo 0.56 cu ft flat pack cabinet from Parts Express, cut two holes with rebates for the driver and waveguide and cut two holes on back for the passive radiators.Sorry to bother, but I can't seem to find the plans for the first box (the one with 2 PRs) and was interested, do you have the plans still?

If you widen the baffle and keep the internal cross sectional area the same it would work. But you may run out of depth to work with as it was already tight. A 3 way would work but negate the very nice mid range capability of the woofer which has superb low distortion performance and reach that allows it to integrate with the tweeter. I am not sure what you mean by mid and tweeter on its side?Hi, I was looking to build the TL in this thread for the Purifi ..

Also, you are on your own developing a 3 way crossover - but DSP may make it easier.
Thanks for your reply .
It's a little bit of a cut and paste ambitious project for a studio monitor along the lines of this style :
My original idea was to allow that section with mid/tweeter to be removable and so could be turned to a two-way if desired...
My plan is to go active with DSP and insert a Bliesma midrange into the equation ..
I have been following a couple of guys who run a studio who developed their own monitors during the pandemic, using Purifi and Bliesma drivers. They do use the 6.5" in a two-way and opt for the 8" in their 3way. However, your TL appears to do so well in bass extension and speed that I don't feel I would need to go to the size of an 8" whilst still wanting to replicate what they achieved with the 3 way .. except I have gone for the Raal too !
