What do you expect?!
You don't get nothing lower than 50Hz and F3 will be 90Hz (50L / F12@50 Hz).
Now check a 150L (are you thinking about an extra size enclosure here?) then you have F3=100 Hz but you will have some boosting (necessary) at 30-40-50Hz and equalization or DSP (I just don't use electronic equalization/boost). 50Hz@-10dB in this case (150L) and very low Qtc (QTC < 0.5).

There were excellent designs being made lately for it JBL 2226HPL, why don't you take advantage of it? From what you say you want a tight musical sealed enclosure/speaker. I can post for you one (BR) that will be similar (tight/ideal) with a fair response in frequency, in musical/jazzy terms, this is possible. And this alignment would give you a fair response (sub) usually not used in 3-Way speakers of small dimensions.

JBL 2226H
Reflex enclosure (net) 82L@39Hz, plus add the volume for driver and port.
Port: 15.0 cm diameter/32.25 cm lenght

F3@57 Hz
F12@32 Hz

And then, you can abuse the power of it or not...
Power Capacity: 600 W AES continuous pink noise
95 to 99 dB/2.83V/m from 4PI to 2Pi.
If for a real sub go to the designs linked above but don't expect it to be as musical as a sealed one. 😀

That's not certainly a subwoofer as you already guessed, if you insist, a big enclosure say 120L tuned low (32Hz) will give you a better low end.

2226H/J - JBL Professional

The JBL 2226H is one of my all-time favorite midwoofers. And it is capable of producing subwoofer output too, but it is not optimized for that purpose. Most of the things that make it great - its motor structure with shorting rings, it's highly damped cone, it's efficiency - all work best above 50Hz.

So while you can make a good subwoofer using JBL 2226H drivers, I would prefer to use JBL 2235 or JBL 2245 woofers instead. They are tuned for subwoofer use. Another option is the LAB12.
