Yes I did thanks. The article I was looking for is the one referenced in your linked article.
One very generous member took his TAA mag out and had it photocopied. The generosity of members here never ceases to impress. Thanks for replying , I should have posted that I'd got it.

That is a link for old Audio Magazine articles, which is not the same as The Audio Amateur. I believe that audioXpress owns the rights to The Audio Amateur and that old issues are not available for download.
