TPA3255 - all about DIY, Discussion, Design etc

taking external 24v to BST_A(B,C,D) pins directly instead of 33nF cap to OUT_A(B,C,D).
like on the picture attached.

Those capacitor are for charging gate drivers for different audio signals(various bandwidths) and those work on 12v or 5v supplies depending upon the tpa32xx you use. So a 25v cap is enough.
No need to provide additional supply. You will just fry the board. Bst means bootstrap. You can try on any ab class ic to see what it does which has a bootstrap cap. 😜

I have a BDM8-A TPA3255 and I am powering it with a 48 volt switching power supply. The round rocker on /off with a LED switch I was using in the chassis blew probably because it is not rated for 48 volts. I have the LED in the switch powered off of a voltage step down thingy. What power switch should I use? I have been looking to find a switch but most everything is rated for 12 volts. I did find one that was rated to 30 volts.

My switch worked fine for a year at 27-36 volts with another amp board. I guess 48 volts was just to much.

Thanks Scott

Guys,
Taking into account that TPA3255 can take max 7 Vpp at the input.
If one has the exact TI evaluation board schematic and applies the PFFB implementation as described in TI application note, how does this affect the maximum voltage signal you can feed the amp so that the chip still receives max 7 V pp?

Did aníones could compare the sound quality of the Shui Yuan Audio TPA3255 original amplifier board with this 2023 version model available in Aliexpress?:

DC19-50V TPA3255 Audiophile HIFI Digital Audio Amplifier Board Power Supply 300W+300W High Power 2.0 Dual Channel Stereo Module

It has a lot of sales and good feedback.
The OP AMPS can also be replaced and it has a similar structure but the resistors are very different from the Shui Yuan Audio TPA3255 board.
Can it be superior to the Shui Yuan Audio TPA3255 original or does it have inferior quality components?

About finalized this build with Dual chip TPA3255, Integrated a tube preamp class A no OPamps in the pre. Im getting some noise in the tubes 2 sets, so not the tubes. All boards grounded to earth. I have ferrite magnets ac input, DC out to TPA. Im running the Tube preamps a FX AUdiotube 02 pro ive repurposed and powering it seprately via DC jack on external chassis and running anoth DC line to the preamp itself. Ive grounded the preamp output to chassis earth. ANy ideas?
