Are there any techs in the Toronto and surrounding GTA area that are willing to do a complete restore to a V800 amp?
Mundorf Capacitor 15000uF 100Vdc MLytic® AG
Would the above caps be a good replacement to the originals?

The schematic I have for the V800 shows two 100v 6,800u caps in parallel on each rail, so roughly 14,000u. My SS500's mains transformer is huge, if the V800 is of the same quality it should cope with the extra current surge etc if using 15,000u caps.


Tech's who have more experience on these will know for sure.

I would fit just one 15000uF 100v cap per side to avoid early failure of the transformer or rectifier.
