I recently acquired this for a decent price hoping to hear what an SACD player in 2 channel sounds like.
Well it read discs for a shirt short time but now it has the problem that I have read about before of yhebdraw coming most of the way out and then quickly retracting.
The threads I've seen point to the blue micro switch but all seems very clean inside and cleaning the switch anyway hasn't helped. The switch works if operated manually. It's as though the switch h is triggering too early as the tray isn't quite all the way out
If I do intervene with the switch and load a sics6...CD or DVD.....it wont read either one. Says 'loading' and the laser fires and moves about focusing but nothing happens. I cleaned the lens too.
I believe this is the same family as the popular Elite US players.
It is very nicely made and would love to get it working
