I would examine them very carefully under a powerful magnifier for crazing of the surface. If there is no crazing check them with a 500V insulation tester. We really need to see good quality photos to see what they look like. That would help us see if they are a suspect type.
 
If I recall correctly Rifa PME271 style are suppression capacitors with integral resistor.

If my recollection is correct then that type would be next to useless for audio, but would work great for an active bridge rectifier/thyristor spike suppression.

Kemet now make an equivalent part (I assume they acquired Rifa)

One of those X rated ones revealed itself to be lurking in our vacuum cleaner.
