RIFA PME 2616

I have some"old" RIFA PME 2616 and some ERO MKT 1822 capacitors that I want to use in a DIY tube preamp.
Is this capacitors ok to use?, ok quality?

I would examine them very carefully under a powerful magnifier for crazing of the surface. If there is no crazing check them with a 500V insulation tester. We really need to see good quality photos to see what they look like. That would help us see if they are a suspect type.

The Rifa capacitors looks nice an d with no crazing visible. I will take some photos..

If I recall correctly Rifa PME271 style are suppression capacitors with integral resistor.

If my recollection is correct then that type would be next to useless for audio, but would work great for an active bridge rectifier/thyristor spike suppression.

Kemet now make an equivalent part (I assume they acquired Rifa)

Quite a lot online about failed Rifa film capacitors - rifa capacitor failure - Bing - I would not use them. The EROs should be ok. They are polyester (mylar) and usually polypropylene is preferred for coupling caps. Should be fine for bypass and filtering though.
