Hello
i wanna build a rectifier board for my DIY dac, since i think this is the better route with better parts than buying chinese ones..
did people around here test different stuff and know what sounds or is best?
i have a "audiophile" thel power supply here which seems to have 12x 3300uF for smoothing and dedicated diodes, is this the way to go?
is just LOW ESR important?

is this a good candidate? is 2x "enough" or would you go with 4? i probably design the pcb for 4 anyway but it might be interesting to test 2 first ...

just have to rename the both connectors
i went with two because 4 is way to large ... i need 8 of them...
top layer is plus and bottom layer minus
i will go with Nichicon KG 10000uF 2x and STM STPSC2H12D (were recommended here on diyaudio in another thread)
i had really good expierence with nichicon KZ, so i hope KG is a good choice
any recommendations are still appreciated, its a few days till i order pcbs
yea many seem happy with them, they are just a bit costly... tho the nichicon KZ was also the clear winner on my op amp tweaking...Kg super through .they are excellent sounding.
i have to see wether i go with type 3 or type 2 KG's, they are kinda hard to buy and im kinda unsure about the aliexpress stores offering them

might be worth implementing a snubber circuit, someone recommends 33nF and 330 ohm
"The snubber values depend on the power transformer used and for audio 10-30VA around 28VAC like you'd find in a +/-15V power supply, around 33nF and 330R 1/2W. The cap doesn't matter if film or ceramic, although X7R have a large voltage coefficient. I use boxed MKT film caps rated 100VAC at least triple the operating voltage."

Did anyone try these? https://de.aliexpress.com/item/1005002904458974.html
the diodes advertised sound kinda nice too.. or could they be fake? the ones i picked would cost double and have larger footprint, and i kinda like the fact that the vishay ones of the aliexpress order are EMI resistant, any thoughts?
