Default Burning Amplifier BA-3

Introduction

In the BA-1 and BA-2 projects we constructed two different amplifiers using very similar input and voltage gain stages (aka the “front ends”), but used them to drive two different Class A Mosfet follower output stages. Now we are going to flip this approach and begin...

That sounds a little phallic...

But I'll do something soon.

Wow 10 uf, that's high, can one get away with a lower capacitance output cap? Thanks!

You could " get away with " a smaller value but I
gather the rule of thumb is to use a much larger
cap than is really needed. Here is an old but still
excellent article about audio caps. https://www.waltjung.org/PDFs/Picking_Capacitors_1.pdf

This cap ought to be low pas filter. Why not put a 50k -100k resistor to ground after it, with that a 1 to 2 uf cap would work. And even without that lets say the amp. has an input impedance of 50k, that would also work. Unless the cap does something more.

Because the output bank already has an input impedance of about 47k ohms in the SE version and the push pull version will have an input impenitence of closer to 2k.

Sorry the input impenitence of that PP output stage may not be as low as I first thought but it will be at least 7.5k or lower.
