Just thought I should post my "job site" setup. I had a crappy boom box but it was stolen. So... I decided to build my own. Obviously I'm just testing components at this stage. The harmonics in this stairwell remind me of my wife singing in the shower

This is some of the stuff I have to work with.
Altec Lansing 5.25" (full range?) drivers, infinity 1" soft dome tweaters.
10" Boston 250w sub.

Several d-class chips, lm chips, TDA chips, A/B amps single and multi Chanel.

2 170 va torrid trans, few E-core jobs and every switch mode regulator known to man.
I also have a verity of Altec, jvc, infinity, Yamaha and high-end oem (unlabeled) drivers. from tiny neo tweeters to 8" full range drivers.

And yes i know the difference between white box crap and decent quality...white box crap

These 4" 2 ways are my personal favorites. I had them connected to my LM4780 "overture" but the TDA doesn't require a bipolar PS.

It's similar in output power but honestly the lm4780 sounds better to me (but I'll save the S flinging for another day)

This picture is the stairwell to my basement wood shop where I've been hoarding supplies to build speaker cabinets.

And painting projects for customers...badly :/
