What is going on with HifiEngine?

They also have daily, weekly and monthly frequency limitations for downloading.
And the actual limits are quite variable, with hard to fathom rules.

Please can someone help I was in charge of building a small batch of R1000 Sonab amplifiers when our company Burndept purchased Ultra electronics who were building these amplifiers at the time
I have purchased the exact model we built and would like to refurbish it but Hifi engine are the only ones who recognize version 1 of three versions https://www.hifiengine.com/hfe_downloads/index.php?sonab/sonab_r4000_1d_1gb_1s_schematic_en.pdf

can someone please download it and forward it to here or ted@microface.com
Thanks

I have a lot of history about the business side of the sonab r4000 and the cost reduced P4000
amplifiers if anyone is interested

Hi everyone here. I'm from Bulgaria, and unfortunately I don't have access to HiFi Engine either.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me download these brochures.

The second one.

To fix an issue with accounts using insecure passwords being hijacked by bots, members will need to reset their passwords to new minimum standards.
If you are logged in, you can change your password using the edit link at the top of your account page.
If you are not logged in, you can use the reset password form.
If you don't receive your password reset email, or your email address has changed, please use the contact form to report the issue.

Unlike most sites that when they want you to change your password, it can be done when you next log in (I did in April with no message) but not here as they have deleted all these passwords and comes up with this message.

Sorry, unrecognized username or password.
Note: old or insecure passwords have been removed and will need to be reset.
You can reset your password here.

Fine if you still use the old email address when first registered but if it's changed you have to try the contact page. This doesn't work even with the registered email address from 17 years ago. Looks like another curved ball to thin out the herd and time to delete another bookmark.

I haven't changed my email address in a long time so I was able to successfully change my password using the link provided by email and retain access to the site. Maybe I'm just one of the lucky ones.

hi all! I just created my account here so I could join this discussion. Earlier this AM I tried to download the owner's manual and service manual for the Onkyo DX-C380 only to get the Sorry, unrecognized username or password message. I don't exactly remember the last time I logged in but I don't think it was over three years ago. Sadly, I switched from Spectrum to Frontier and I believe Frontier is either owned by Verizon or used to be Verizon or something like that. So it appears my account was deleted either due to inactivity or the whole Verizon thing, which is really weird.

Then I tried to register again, but its closed, and then I can't send a message via CONTACT form because I don't have a username anymore, and blahblahblah... you've all heard it here a bunch of times. I know this because I read about 8 pages worth of it; I got smart after the 7th and clicked to 15. haha

Anyways, if y'all ever see the registration open up again, please let us know here. I mean I get that the site admin is like a douche and who wants to deal with that, but like I had my account since 2014. I never posted but I read a lot of stuff and I downloaded stuff... its just totally lame.

ummm, ok,. I'm going to check out that endotanyaharding site, or whatever it's called... BYE!

Yep same here. Been a member since Adam was a boy but today got the message above when trying to log on and yes same here, all old email addresses I could have used to originally join come up as unrecognised. No possible way to contact them and report the issue it seems!

I managed to renew my password (as required) by entering my current email address in the box where you should enter your old one.
It might have been the same, but I'm a member for 14 years over there and 14 years ago I probably didn't have the current email.
Hope this helps.

Thanks just tried that but no luck.... Seems to be a (no doubt deliberate) "catch 22" where you must be able to log in to tell them you can't log in! I'm 99% certain that one of the emails I tried IS the one I originally registered with but even that is rejected.

Maybe someone who can still log in could raise this matter with site admin at hifi engine? I last logged in maybe 2 weeks ago with no problems.

For sure he knows...
Let's just leave it at that, we don't make the rules over there and we try to help people in this thread as good as we can.

Same here on the contact page as my old email address was rejected. Seems they do not want to be contacted.
