Alpair MAOP 10.2

I am not sure. About 12-14 litre. It is a complex box.
Talk with planet10 for plans.

@LeifB60

you have made it in mdf?

@Vix

it make change the filter no? and the box no?
have you the maop10?
Yes, filter will probably need to be changed. If you really decide to do this (meaning that you will have to buy 4 MA200 driivers, so not the cheapest option) maybe Scott will design you a new filter. The lower part will most probably be the same, the upper one, not so different I guess.
I don't have the maop 10, but I have the Alpair 10.3. I experimented with it, fullrange, as a Waw..etc. That said, there is always a beauty in running it fullrange, but then...
If you want clean bass in sufficient quantities, better run separate woofers. One is good, a pair is better. Once relieved of the low notes bass, every fullrange driver will sound better, cleaner...
But, it is a bit more complex to build and more expensive.
So, no free lunch...

Hi Guys,

I have bought a pair of MAOP 10.2 drivers a long time ago, but not had the time nor the resources to make cabinets for them. I very much fancy minionken trapetzoid cabinets, which is why I bought the drawings for them from @planet10 .

Recently I stumbled upon trapetzoid enclosures made for alpair 10.3 drivers. Can anyone knowledgeble say if my MAOP 10.2 drivers would fit physically and specs wise into cabinets made for Alpair 10.3?

If you share with us the QTS , Vas and FS measurements that came with your drivers it should give a good idea of how compatible they are with the design you have seen .
For example my MOAP10 are almost identical to the Alpair 10p spec so can slot into any design for that model but a little off the advertised spec for MAOP10.

I have sent an email. Looks like M10.2 needs to be tuned lower, so additional vent spacers can convert an MK103T to fit the MAOP. Karl, please keep the numbers i sent private.

One recent issue that came up is MAOP has decorative bezel cover affixed, and many A10.3 are used without sothe rebate may need tobe enlarged.

As an aside, i at first thot MAOP drop right into A10.3 box but when i got some data it was evident that a new box was needed.
