Anybody used Getshow plate amps?

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has used plate amps from Getshow on aliexpress?

Ie something like this -
https://a.aliexpress.com/_mLQ6vro

I wouldn't believe the power rating but they seem very cheap for the features. They seem to have quite a range of products so the company must be a reasonable size but couldn't seem to find any reviews online.

I need a sub for small PA use, usually hire a 15" Mackie swa1501, or sometimes an ev 18" for larger gigs so don't need a huge amount of power. Thinking of going DIY so if this does even 600wrms I'd be happy.

I could do a stand alone amp but then I either have to buy a crossover as well or get one with dsp which then is more $$.

Thanks

I know this is probably a bit late, but I was able to get a hold of 2 versions for a sub build myself.

I've run a test on the dual channel version here: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/100....order_list.order_list_main.17.2afc18022NN5qc

And I was getting 900watt at 60hz, with peaks of up to 1100~ so I think the 1200w at 1khz is probably not too far off, as seen below. I was barely able to take a picture, before my dummy load started to almost melted. Need to get a larger one for these amps haha! This was testing only a single channel of the 2 pairs possible.

Tested with 8ohm dummy load, measured at 88.7 vRMS, here soft clipping started to occur, clean sinewave at 79vRMS or 700watt~

The second one is a single output unit: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/400...o.order_list.order_list_main.5.29741802mUpLPl

Its said to output 1600w, I was able to get 576w RMS at 71,2v, but peaks relatively clean between 1180watt and 1300watt, these was done at full gain, 2v input voltage and pushed until soft clipping. The waves was 60 cycles, so I would say plenty for a good kick drum sound, and roughly 50ms between peak waves.

I cant say for sure in the real world of course, but for the price I think it does deliver quite well. I will be using the 2 single outputs for 2 single 18" cabinets with a Rockville 1800w 8 ohm speaker.

Not sure going below 20Hz will meet any useful purpose.

I am somewhat worried that the fan and ventilation system only works with and recycles air inside the cabinet, no outside vents at all.

Alone on a bench or relatively short term, no big deal ; now on all night sessions, not so sure of it.

Remember a 600W speaker will turn at least 550W into raw heat, heating magnet and frame ... a lot of heat which remains inside the enclosure too.

A guy in Argentina used to make "Unix" brand rack mount power amps.

Big internal heatsinks. a bottom mounted fan ... and NO air exit holes anywhere.

Maybe he thought "cooler fans" had some magical "cooling" property by their mere presence

What is the lowest HP you can have? Is it possible to have no HP?
Some of these amps have a 20Hz HP no matter what, so just wondering what's the case for these things.

@kipman725 and what about the Sanway amps, possibility for lower than 20Hz filters?
And what about network control?
As far as I was able to test it doesn’t have any default dsp and will run everything. But as already mentioned maybe 20hz is not really something most can hear?

Cooling so far I have not considered, but I think it’s very common for these types of plate amps?

It was not a matter of hearing the frequencies below 20Hz, more that the filters affect group delay and the DSP I am currently using seems to have a fixed 20Hz HP. Looking for options.

I only need about 150W per driver + headroom.

I pushed 20hz through it, and it does not apply any DSP unless configured to do so at that range, as far as I can tell. They also offer some other ones, that has a split between a tweeter and woofer.

Seems they are not available on Aliexpress anymore.
I´m looking for a two channel fanless dsp plate amp with 300-600W 8Ohm per channel for an 2 way 12/1,4" top.
I have one side only space for 150mm/6", so there are not much available.
I bought used set from adamark a year ago, but can´t get the AllDSP software to find the DSP, it seems to be branded.
