The SMP25n06's are possibly OEM. I have a ProMOS 425 that's fitted with them from PPI.
Digikey has IRFZ44pbf in stock, those are what I used in a ProMOS 50 with 100ohm gate resistors per Jay Laventure's advice and it has been solid.

I think I'll likely go with the IRFZ44PBF's. I know Jay Laventure and yes his advice has definitely always been solid.
I've also seen posts where Perry Babin has also recommended the IRFZ44 as a replacement for the SMP25N06's as well. I definitely trust Perry's advice too. In fact he mentioned in this post going with those as well as Jan.
Found another Precision Power A404. Noticed this one has different PS FET's and PS resistors than my other one has. My other one had SMP25N06 FET's with 100 Ohm resistors. The new one has MTP50N05E FET's with 47 Ohm resistors. From what I can tell from the datasheets I've found it appears the IRFZ44N's I originally asked about are a close match to the MTP50N05E. Would in fact the IRFZ44N be a good replacement for the MTP50N05E? Or should I use IRFZ44PBF as I used in the other one? If so, should I then also replace the 47 Ohm PS resistors with 100 Ohm resistors?
Any of the Z44s will be Ok.
If the 47 ohm resistors are not out of tolerance, there is no reason to replace them.
