I've had 8CX in: Factory Karlson Eight - A "K10 sized coupler, and Art Welter's Dad's "K8 based on Karlson's 2nd K12 with distributive slot vent.
In my K10 with around 25 lieter back chamber is sounded something like my Kliposchorn in tone. It played pretty cool in the Welter K8 - and OK in the facoty K8 but IIRC my xover wasn't good.
I have an 8 inch "XKi" - as published it tuned to 60Hz - 10Hz lower than target so its vent is a bit long - its loaded with Beta 8A - similar to Beta 8cx.
What are your goals? - will it be highpassed and augmented by a bass speaker ? - or play alone ?

Thanks, Freddi. Basically I’m just looking for the most efficient use for these drivers. I’d like them to go low enough to support acoustic guitar but I’d use them with subs for more demanding music. So, roughly 80Hz and up with a reasonably smooth FR. I like the Eminence ASD 1001 driver for the highs.
