Kit Vendor Support Question

Yeah, I went to college with Tom at the University of Illinois. He's at Apple now.
I still have one of those receivers, too. It works perfectly.

I suspect the headphone jack or the impedance switch.
Either could kill the sound if everything is not right.

Me too, although I haven't plugged it in in awhile. It was checked out by our tech when I worked at Goodwin's, but that was like 14 years ago!!!! My memory of the unit is it sounded quite nice, played a lot bigger than 15 watts and had a very nice phono stage.

Yeah, and probably making a little more $$$ than when he had Apt Holman.

It might need the open frame switches and pots cleaned, but it should be ok.
He sold the THX stuff back when, probably better than Apt.

UI graduate school, control system research, small custom audio business, medical electronics, two different power electronics startups in Madison, University of Wisconsin--Madison research lab, retired.
