How the heck could Marantz price this thing around $400+? Other than the good warranty, I have found it to be precisely the same (if not worse) in functionality and appearance to many Panasonic and Phillips units costing half as much. To top it all off, the thing doesn't even have an optical output jack!! It also skips easier (and nastier) than anything else I have ever used. Since I am stuck with it I will keep using it but I can't wait to get that $99 Daewoo unit that plays burned CD's at least. Oh, and the Daewoo has an optical out jack!!
