Resolved - Implemented Redundant tab on advanced search page requires dismissing each time

The Search everything tab could simply go. It has no explanation but seems to be the same as the Search threads tab, except the Search threads tab is where it's at with all the options so it's an extra click and wait step.

You learn something new each day, the search tab you would like to use seems to just be the “formal” version of what is accessible as the popup.

It makes sense to have "search everything" as the default, but like many other areas of the site I think it should remember your last-used preference.

For now, I'll just make the advanced search link go to https://www.diyaudio.com/community/search/?type=post which is the search threads tab.

Are you usually going to the advanced search via the "advanced search" link in the 2nd level nav?

No, I'm using a browser bookmark toolbar.. but that's partly because I did it that way on the old site. Just for a small selection of links.
