I have a Sony VEGA TV as the center of my Home Theatre system. I get a loud, annoying hum or buzz whenever bright white areas appear on the screen... the more white, the louder the hum. I don't think it's the television because 1) it's fairly new and 2) my other TV (an RCA) does the same thing, though not as bad. They're both hooked up to cable. The second TV is not connected to a VCR or anything else.
I've read a bit about hum bars and cable noise caused by ground loops and the like. Is this what I am experiencing? Is there a way to tell? Is there a way to fix it?
